Chris Brown: Man Up!

Chris Brown: Man Up!

I don't even have to mention what caused your career to sink like the Titantic. But what I do appreciate is that you are geniuely an artist. You have stuck to what you do best, dance ( and sing, I guess) and that is all that really matters. Unlike most of these bafoons, you do have talent ( AND, no, the B.E.T. awards did not make me "soften" up). Matter of fact that stint at the B.E.T. awards is why you need to man up!

You don't owe no one an explanation for what you did, but the person you did it to. Okay, so you apologized to the world, cool. Leave it at that that. When they try to bombard you with questions pertaining to the Barbadoes hoe, dismiss them. Matter of fact, cut the interview and tear into that interviewers ass.

This pot-hole that your career has hit has made you look like an attention-whore. You seem to have adopted this "bad-boy" swag, sort of like you don't-give-a-fuck, but you crying on stage, took all the "G" out of you, so stop it! But it is funny how the same media that loved you now treats you like an unwanted step-child. The same media that goes against anything moral, logical or realistic, is coming at you like you Osama Bin Laden's son. I do think that you were wrong. It's a shame that your career had to be discredited because you hit a woman who continues to make songs that promote "hoe-activity" and send shout-outs to the devil. Smh!

If I were you, I'd just lay low. Go back to school, date me a regular girl and let the people forget about me. You as, why would I want people to forget about me? Well, because what they know about you now is not a good look. So quit with the social technology, delete all accounts and chill.

Like I said, you don't have to walk around with sorry on your forehead. Live your life and quit acting out. Gather yourself together and then come back.

Lil'Wayne: What is the Big Deal?

Lil’Wayne: What is the big deal?

I can’t fathom why people are so obsessed with you. Why they feel you are a good rapper, a great rapper, a rapper? It baffles the hell out of me. You have about one hundred thousand records out; that I am positive won’t last until the end of time due to the fact that your music does not have a message. But I am guessing, that to some you do have a message. Your songs are not considered longevity. Meaning, when you pass to the other side, which I hope is in a million years from now, your music and influence will go right along with you. That’s why I don’t understand what the big deal is when there is no quality when it comes to you. I can’t differentiate you from the next rapper. All y’all say the same shit. Lil’Wayne, Gucci Mane. Same thing. Lil’Wayne, Ludacris. Same thing. Lil’Wayne, T.I. Same thing. Lil’Wayne, T-Pain. Same thing!

I had to force myself to watch interviews with you and listen to your chainsaw voice. Is that due to your use of the cough syrup, marijuana and cocaine? I watched you and noticed that your brain is fried. You are a rapper on drugs. But you are not alone, millions of rappers do drugs. But not the kind of drugs that have them looking and sounding out of their damn minds. At least Snoop Dogg can function. You seem so “laid-back” so “out of it”, kind of like on the verge of falling the hell down and snoozing off to sleep. These interviewers are so fascinated. They look at you like a research project. They ask you about your millions of tattoos, they ask you about your diamond teeth. Diamond teeth. Why? I understand that’s your money, you business, but that is not a good look for us black folk. But who cares? You’re making money. But you really don’t say anything during the interview that makes me believe that you have logic, let alone thoughts. Seems like the only thing you can talk about is what you rap about. Nothing. That’s not a good look.

What really reinforced my “hate” against you was when Katie Couric asked you about your reaction to Hurricane Katrina. You didn’t say anything but, “Words can’t even explain”. Really? Or do you not know how to explain, because its not involving bitches, jewelry, money, cars etc.? Or does it say somewhere in your contract that you can never speak out against injustices or hold an opinion? It baffled me. If you would’ve at least said something that showcased your sentiment about what happened, and it made logical sense and had a message, I probably would’ve gave you the benefit of the doubt, but nope. But then again, who am I, right?

You ever wonder why these white people love you so much? Do they love you because you are so “real gangsta”? Or because you are what they think about when they think of what a rapper looks like, should sound like and act like? You are not the first of your kind, look at Flavor Flav. Basically what I am trying to say is that I see what they are trying to do. They are trying to make something out of nothing. They want to make you believe that you are something great. Oh, you have so many albums, you write so many songs, you stay in the studio, you don’t write your lyrics down. I have to say, that is genius. Not having to write down your rhymes. But is it because you can’t spell or you don’t even know what you are going to talk about so you just go along with the flow. No, I know why. Because you have a tendency to bite other people’s rhymes. Now, you are not the first of your kind. But damn, a whole Aaliyah verse? Get the HUH outta here! Dude, I understand you biting from Biggie, 2Pac, DMX, and others but R&B artists? That’s why you don’t write down lyrics, they were already written down.

It’s funny how artists like yourself have millions of fans that believe you are hater-infested when in fact they are just stating the facts. You are not what you or what they crack you up to be; The Greatest Rapper Alive. You have to wait until; Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, LL Cool J, Krs-One, Wu-Tang, Naughty By Nature, and some others pass before you can even be considered a rapper, let alone the greatest rapper alive.

By watching Youtube, I found out that you have a million songs out. I heard somewhere that you went double platinum in five weeks. Wow, that is great, if that is true. More power to you, brotha. But what I can’t get with is the hype around you. Can you? You would probably say, it’s because you are you, and you are real. No, I don’t think so. I think its because you have a good marketing team, some nice beats (see, I give props when they are due), and that mainstream appeal, thanks to your defaced body, piercings, diamond teeth and dread locks. But it has nothing to do with your talent, which is nonexistent. I mean if all I did was rap I would be making songs day in and day out. Oh, I see, you suffer from the “When- I- die-I- want- to –be- like -2Pac- so -let -me do -what- he did syndrome”. You are not the first of your kind. I even read somewhere or heard from your mouth that you wanted to do something like 2Pac did with the Outlaws with Young Money. I think that was when they were in the beginnings. Maybe I am over exaggerating, but I am pretty sure. Anyways, you putting out a lot of songs like 2Pac, is not going to make you be anything like him. 2Pac actually had something to say, and you tend to not have anything deep to talk about unless you mention the sea (a little joke!).

Your lyrics are mediocre. I mean you have, good word play, like Kanye West. Everything seems to rhyme, even though it doesn’t make sense. When I say it doesn’t make sense, I mean, what you rhyme about does not show case your quality as a rapper. If only you could say something worthwhile, in clarity, maybe you could be that “great” rapper (I am stretching it) everyone claims you to be.

Not only is your presence in Hip-Hop over rated and confusing, you as a Black man is despicable. Looking at you I see that it is not about selling records, it’s about selling your soul. You are definitely not the first of your kind and not the last. But hear me out.

I read somewhere that you claimed that you did not sign up to be a role model, but anyone with a brain (that works properly, without the dependency of cough syrup, marijuana and cocaine) knows that as a celebrity of any sort you are automatically a role model whether you like it or not. Just like you didn’t have a choice in determining how you are perceived, you have no choice but to be a role model. I wish you weren’t a role model. But you are. Do you know how many (Black) men emulate themselves after your lyrics, not you as a person but your lyrics. The same lyrics that I say don’t make sense. Then, you have the audacity to have kids with different baby mama’s. You are not the first of your kind and these women with the exception of Toya, should be ashamed, especially Lauren London, who messed up her career before it even got established, started, took off, etc. Not only do I see an irresponsible man, I see someone who is trying so hard to be this “great rapper-musician person”, you want to make it so that when you pass, in a million years, your numerous baby mothers and kids can come forward and speak about Daddy Wayne and how he was so different from the rapper Lil’Wayne and how he liked to read about Comets. You know, make it seem like you were a Miles Davis or something. Naw, my brotha, you got to have talent. And when you pass that is all that will keep you alive, not the money, or the “million” records that you sold. It’s all about talent. They don’t tell you that when you are signing away your morals. Talent does make a great deal of difference. It provides longevity.

I am glad to hear that you did well in school. (See, I do give props when they are due). And you appear to have good manners, but where are those manners when you are rapping about women? (Just a thought). You appear to me to be something that you are not, you are not a great rapper, period. Please get that out of your head. It saddens me that you even went as far as to bring your own crew in the game; Young Money. A slew of wack rappers. Why? Your quality as a rapper does not make me feel like when I listen to you, I’m listening to real music. I feel like in order for me to listen to your music I have to be under the influence of some drug or alcohol. ( I don’t do both, so I just don’t get it!)

But because of what happened to Ja Rule and Murder Inc. and how they were “on top” then went to the bottom and are now nonexistent, I am confident the inevitable is to happen again. But good luck, I hope with you being in jail, you had time to grow and realize that with you having all of this popularity, you will put it to good use in the fight against the injustice of the Black plight instead of worshipping the dollar bill. You have to realize that in these white people eyes, you are just another nigga, no matter how much money you generate or records you sell. In the end the joke is on you and us, your people. So, get smart, play these vultures before they use you up and throw you away. Because you do know, the end is near right? Okay, just checking.

Rick Ross a.k.a. N.W.T. (N_gga wit' Titties)

Rick Ross: N.W.T. (Nigga With Tities)

You are the epitome of what a rapper should not look like, be like and rap like. You are just a big ass no-no. Some of your beats are cool. But your rhymes are wack. And that chain? Why? You are not the first of your kind to have ignorant jewelry. But besides the buffoonery that you exude, I find it quite hilarious that you try to be something that you are obviously not. Just like others in the game. But Rizay Ross, or whatever your name is, I had to force myself to watch interviews of you. I could only stand for one and a half and then I watched the interview of one of your baby’s mothers with 50 Cent. Even though, I don’t agree with what 50 Cent did, I found the information quite helpful in my stance against you as a rapper.

Just like the rest of our lost African-American brothers and sisters, you are obsessed with the words hustling and money. What I can’t stand about you (and others) is that you know that everything that you have is leased, loaned, and more than half the shit you have, you have no idea where they come from. That’s why you hear horror stories of entertainers being audited by the IRS because shit just doesn’t add up. You are not in control, so please quit acting like it. And then you have the audacity to use all this fake shit in your rhymes. Let me ask you something, do you hide behind those dark sunglasses and blubber belly to make us believe that you are some intimidating gangster-kind of guy? I think so. Get real with yourself. Cut that beard, loose some weight, get some better rhymes, and quit trying to be someone that you are not.

Unlike others, I don’t see a problem with you being a former correctional officer. But what I do have a problem with is the way that you portray yourself to be some kind of high-end street dude who plays no games and has major respect in the streets. I’m not even in the streets like that but I know you ain’t shit.

You are just another hopeless, lost, degrading, coon rapper who has added to the death of Hip-Hop, and the plight of Blacks in America. Do yourself and all of us a favor; quit being someone that you are not. Be normal for once, take control, quit being controlled, and get some respect about yourself.

Nicki Minaj: Not the first of your kind

I have tried to watch various interviews, listen to different songs and watch videos of you. The beautiful thing about today’s technology is that as an artist, people can access you and get to know you. I decided to do so with you because I wanted to know what all the buzz was about. I Youtubed you like there was no tomorrow. I even read the comments and found out that there are people that love the hell out of you and there are those who hate the shit out of you. I wouldn’t say that I am neither. I just don’t understand the hype around you. I like to consider myself a Hip-Hop brainiac. I’m only 21, but I know me some Hip-Hop. I know what Hip-Hop is and what it is not. And you already know, you are not Hip-Hop. But that’s not your fault. Because if you were, you wouldn’t have the publicity that you have, the millions of fans and haters, the money and the chance to live the “lavish” life. But you are not alone. You have millions of your fellow peers that are in the same category as yourself: No Talent At All. Wait, let me take that back. You do have talent. Your rap voice is drenched in New York; it has a nice ring to it, reminiscent of your nemesis, Lil’Kim. Oh, I know, you don’t want to hear about Lil’Kim… Oh, well, here we go. But first let me comment on your style. You are you and you can dress in anything you want to, who the hell am I to judge? I’m not judging you, Nicki, I am only observing.

On Youtube I was able to see your drastic transformation. You were a pretty woman and you still are a pretty woman, so why the nose job? (Is it a nose job?) Why the breast implants? (Is it a very good push up bra?) Why the humongous ass? Why did you allow them to inject gelatin in your backside? I mean its bad enough that the industry goes against everything that is logical, moral and real but why did they have to fuck your appearance up in the process? How did it feel when “they” came to you and said that in order for you to even be down, you have to change this, this, this and this? Aren’t you supposed to get that when you sell at least three million copies? Isn’t this supposed to be about music? Not looks. But you are not the first of your kind to change your appearance in exchange for fame and fortune.

You are still attractive; all I am saying is that you could’ve done without the plastic.

Okay, you need to understand why Lil’Kim is synonymous with your name. You swagger jacked her. But as you are becoming mainstream, you are drifting away from her style. Good look. But you basically emulated her poses, colorful wigs etc. Yes, I agree, Lil’Kim may be bitter, thinking to herself, “That used to be me”, but you have no right to jack someone else’s swag, but since you did it, you deserve to have fire shots at you. Not gun shots but a few flows aimed at you, dissing you. She says its about paying homage, I say its about trying to blow you out the water. Kim wants to or should I say, wanted to get you to spit at her so that she could come back hard and shut you down because she knows that you can’t flow and wanted to murder your career before it got started, sort of like what LL Cool J did to Canibus. But your smart or you just can’t rap. Because instead of giving Lil’ Kim some spot light you shunned her off. Good Job. I also notice that you don’t respond to ignorance, like you said. But when someone is dissing you and being that you are a rapper, usually rappers respond back and diss. Did you miss that part of the game? I think so. That is not a good look.

I notice you and your delusional fans, claim that you are hater-infested. I can see what you are talking about. But when someone says you can’t rap, you don’t make sense, you’re wack, I don’t think that’s hating. More like telling the truth. Nicki, let’s face it, you can’t rap worth a damn dime. Let me explain why. Take notes, mama.

On Youtube I was able to see you on some hood DVD, don’t remember the title. But you were sitting down on a stair case, with some ashy dude, then you took out a lot of money (Wonder where you got that from, and can I get some?) and started talking reckless. I mean you started going off on “bitches”, you were just plain angry. How can someone with all that money be so damn angry? But you are not the first of your kind; I’ve seen other rappers do this same exact thing. Then you were asked to freestyle. You didn’t freestyle on the spot. It looked like the camera was stopped, then you appeared with two ratchets in the background, and started “freestyling”. What did you do when the camera stopped? Did you think long and hard about what you were going to rhyme about? It was typical: Sex, money, smacking bitches, running shit, getting hated on and you know what you guys and gals rap about. Needless to say, I didn’t hear anything in that freestyle that made me think like, “Damn, she is tight”. And then I came across another interview that requested you to freestyle. You were calmer here, you weren’t raunchy like before. I guess, before that was when you were hungry and now you “made it”. I don’t know. You tried to talk around freestyling, then you came with the, “Oooweee, goooeeeyyy, chocolate chewy” I could’ve just died. You already know, that is not a good look.
I don’t have a problem with your multiple personalities, your tourette’s outbursts, your pink hair, even your fake ass, but damn girl, you ain’t got no talent. You have to be able to have talent to pull that shit off. Don’t you ever think, that these people only “love” you because of how you look and that’s not even really you? You ever wonder why you are receiving this much publicity and don’t have a lick of talent? Do you feel some sort of guilt? Paranoia, perhaps?

And I know why you are waiting to release you album. I have to admit you have smart business people in your camp. You could be waiting for Lil’Wayne to be released from jail, because that way he could generate even more publicity for you and himself. Or is it just a direct order to wait for Lil’Wayne to be released before your album is released, which violates your freedom as an artist. Are you an artist? Or Lil’Wayne’s “Young Money’s” puppeteer? Or are you waiting to release your album so that you can guarantee to reach at least gold status on your first week, let alone platinum status. I know you would hate to be like your fellow label mate, Drake who couldn’t go gold the first week but swore that he was the shit and didn’t even reach gold status on his first album. He could never get that week back, that’s why he’s trying to put out another album so fast. Anyway, I hope you sell well.

But Miss Minaj, you don’t strike me as a female rapper. Wait, you are a female, and you are a rapper but your presence in the game? Is not needed or wanted ( in my eyes). It’s bad enough that the female game has never been established as strong as the males but that’s only because females think that the more they talk about what’s between their legs and what they can do with their mouths and amongst other things they are doing justice. But I hate to burst your plastic ass, the way that you and these others female rappers that have drained the game with their wackiness, you all are worthless. None of you say anything worthwhile. There is nothing unique about your style. Seen it all and heard it all before. What are you bringing to the table that we have not seen before? Nothing. At. All. Your rhymes don’t have a message. I know it’s not positive but I can’t even say its negative. Do you even know what you talk about?

To cover up the fact that you are not a lyricist, you distract people by wearing crazy costumes and being this animated person. It’s a nice gimmick. But that does not compensate for your lack of talent.

Obviously as you can see I had a lot to say to you. But I can not blame you. The media thrives off people like you who would do anything for the fame and fortune. They feed you lines and you say them as if you even believe them. Like how you claimed to be bisexual and then reneged on what you said. I understand, DJ Quik said he had ten sisters, but I don’t think his lying about that made him bigger, but I know you lying about your sexuality boosted your popularity. You must remember, the only reason why you are generating so much popularity is because you have sacrificed yourself, you have made that transformation from human to celebrity and from here on out, you are nothing short of the “Where are they now” list. I want you to know that you do not; in anyway, reflect me as a woman or as an African -American woman. I hope that with the price you paid for the fame and the fortune is worth it at the end. Because you know how quick shit changes, I hope you don’t take this as an insult but motivation to step your game way up.

Introducing Mrs. Hip-Hop

This is a blog site for those of you who have something real to say about a certain rapper or singer. This site is for the "Hip-Hop/ R&B" community. This is your platform to go in on some of these "artists" and let them know how you, as a fan (or not) feel about their presence in the game. Please do not post anything hateful. Make sure that when you do comment on a certain entertainer that you support your view point. Please be logical and keep it real. You can praise an artist or tell them a thing or two about themselves.
Y'all probably wondering why would I want to create a blog like this? Well, I believe that the world is screwed up because of these "so-called" entertainers. It is because of what they represent and how they represent mislead the mind of today's youth and African-American communities. We must understand that Hip-Hop is a culture not a business and that what is going on in today's rap game should not be accepted. Most of these rappers need to be on the hot seat, answering to why they are feeding the community dreams, fantasy and bullsh*t. Hip-Hop was supposed to be that force for African-Americans and the likes, to rise above and put our people in a better position. But these rappers are using the "little people" at their expense. When are you going to take your mind back and think your own thoughts? Why not start now? Callin' Out Names is the perfect start.
I just want to bring awareness to this crazy industry and let them know that they are not fooling anyone. We are not mindless people, we are very mindful. And they need to listen to what we have to say. Please enjoy and take notes.
                                                                                                                Mrs. Hip-Hop
